YOU’LL HAVE A GOOBER GREAT TIME AT THE KIDZ KORNER!!
The Peanut Festival Committee is once again excited about this year’s festival. We at Kidz Corner are also excited as we enter into our 10th year of helping to provide KID FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES for our children, SOME AT NO COST TO OUR COMMUNITY. The KIDZ KORNER is now located behind the Chamber Annex Building located at the corner of Hwy 82 and Westberry Street.
Thanks to those of you are able to provide booths with free arts and crafts. Your sacrifice helped to give our very impressionable Kidz a positive memory and a picture of what “community” looks like.
We have learned that it’s difficult to plan crafts for such a large number of children. So, while we are perfectly happy if you choose to provide crafts, we think it’s easier to have more of a carnival atmosphere with more games and less crafts (crafts tend to run out of supplies).
We need your help in providing a booth. Will you consider joining us as we grace the grounds with exciting and fun filled activities? The vendor application and contract is available and must be returned by October 10th. Your application must be approved by the Peanut Festival Committee to ensure a safe and festive environment for the festival. If you are unable to set up a booth but would like to donate money to the event, please let us know!
The objective of Kidz Corner is to provide free or affordable services for the children. Booth fees will be waived for all Kidz Corner vendors that are providing a craft or a game at no charge to the child; and vendors will not be allowed to sell items from their booth. If you have children’s items you would like to sell, you can fill out the Arts and Crafts application and become an official vendor of the Festival. You can set up outside the Kidz Korner area with a sign saying you are an official vendor and not a part of the Kidz Korner.
With the continuing economic hardship all around, it is exciting to be a part of the Georgia Peanut Festival as we continue to implement creative ideas that support and give back to the community. The Kidz Corner is most definitely one of those ways!
